Empty fuel tank
I have recently purchased a 81 29ft Sportsman with twin 305xl crusaders. This is my first boat with a cabin coming for a 22ft Mako center console. Trying to do as much work on the boat myself as possible. My first problem is the smaller fuel tank is empty and I am not sure what is at bottom of tank or if old owner had problems with it or just didn't use it. I bought the boat from a dealer and I can't talk to previous owner. Can anyone help me with suggestions?

Re: Empty fuel tank
For about $25 you can buy an endoscope (snake camera) from ebay and have a look. It won't let you know if it's leaking, buy you will see how bad it is in there.

Be sure to ground any tool or borescope that your inserting into the tank.
