International helm plastic type

One of my winter projects is replacing my helm panel and all new gauges with LED backlighting. I need to do some repairs on the used panel I have though. Does anyone know what kind of plastic that is? I assume it's ABS which means West epoxy won't be the best for adhesion.

Very interesting! I have never run into those products, but it is sure nice to know they exist.

I was a plastics fabricator while in college making skins for electronics equipment. We used a bunch of ABS, and glued with PVC cement thinned with MEK. Some of the parts were cut/milled like you would do with wood or soft metals, while others were formed by using heat and a gentle touch. Those were some fun times and I can still handle very hot items with my fingers that others won't touch!

West System adheres well. I used my international plastic dash panels and glassed over all original gauge openings. I sprayed the finished panels with Awlgrip.

I purchased this stuff off ebay a few years back, 1 kit as advertised and I've been repairing things for years with it. The stuff goes a long ways.
I bought it originally for sport bike fairing repair, it is very strong and can be sanded and polished to look invisible

11 years ago when my own dumb assed self did mine, I simply used Hobby 2 part liquid slow cure epoxy.

It worked nicely and I added some fiberglass matt for added strength where needed.
