Tri cabin hardtop, 1975 36ft
For those wondering what it looks like, pretty awesome.
Just bought the boat, twin yanmar's.
Will be doing some work, it has some pretty bad leaks on the fly bridge and windows.

Hey, that's a Tri Fly.........the best Trojan every
If you need any info on that model, I might know something about the inside structure and possible leaks and rot.
Welcome!

Do you have the specs for the hardtop?
We tie up to fill our batteries and check our fuel.

Um... they do know that someone should do something about that, right???K4282 wrote:sweet boat, much better than the one near me
Wait a minute ... just realized - that's part of the cockpit gunnel and railing sitting on the dock... what the <bleep> happened? Was it that rotten that it literally fell apart or just a really bad case of dock rash?
Re: Tri cabin hardtop, 1975 36ft
she sank a few days ago, i suspect the dock water/hose was and may still be turned on to the boat and something let go filling her with water till she sank. Coast Gaurd was there 4 days ago and the said no injuries, impacts minimal, investigating cause

I had a yanmar's dealer check them out. I am at 2300 hours, he said probably 2500 left.
I am getting them serviced, heat exchanger, exhaust , and all the other stuff he thinks needs to be done.
The previous owner said that they never ran faster than 8 knots, as the temp would start going up. The dealer says that they should cruise at 11 or 12. $2500 is the estimated cost.

There are 11 thru hulls, with 7 capped off.
2 for the aft toilet need to be replaced.
There is a holding tank already for the front head, so I will probably convert the aft as well.
The marina is recommending that the capped off ones get removed, and re fiberglassed over. Is that something that should be done?
