That platform looks great! I'd really like to put one on our F32 but have some electrical issues to address first.
Fantastic looking boat!

Thank you! We love it. It's fully composite with a 15 year warranty.GrumpyDuck wrote:That platform looks great! I'd really like to put one on our F32 but have some electrical issues to address first.

It weighs about 1.5 lbs per sq ft, vs 4-5 lbs per sq ft for traditional plywood based platforms. And the pricing is right in line with the traditional ones! It's based in Quebec, so a deal for Canadians and with exchange rate a steal for Americans.

In case anyone is interested in checking them out this is the company I ordered the platform from.tdogg wrote:I forgot to upload the new swim platform that we had installed in May 2016, there was a delay and size correction required. But it finally arrived and was installed. It's awesome, such a difference. As you can see, we went from a 20/24" deep platform to a 48" deep composite platform. At 11.5' wide, it's a much more usable area and a great hangout area.
Here is a collage, I will upload a before and after to provide more details for those interested.

They have your boat on their site: http://lescompositesmabernard.com/trojan-36-1987/
I am rebuilding part of our swim platform due to captain error
, but we may want a larger one sometime down the road.
Yours looks nice!

I had them install it on top of our old one as it was still solid. They added 4 stainless steel braces. They said with that install I could have 10 people on the back if I wanted

Have you had a chance to take a run with it yet? With it being extra long, how well does it clear your wake / stern wave? I have seen some boats with massive platforms, and have always wondered about them being too long and getting hit by the stern wave rising underneath it and put huge strain on fasteners and the transom... kind of like a 13' wide x 4' long extra trim tab!!

Excellent question. Yes we have travelled with it and it clears wake nicelycaptainmaniac wrote:Have you had a chance to take a run with it yet? The height of the edges are customizable. I kept it wider, all good so far.

I'm looking to redo all my canvas and add a radar arch. Do you happen to know how your boat got her arch?
Re: Our 1987 Trojan F36 Tri-Cabin - Before and After
Good day, sorry been a while since I have been on the forum. but I'm back now that boating season is just around the corner.
Unfortunately I'm not sure where the Arch came from, we bought the boat with it on already.
would be interesting to do a custom one, I think it would work nicely. not sure if there are some templates around.

Hi All,
looking forward to the season! Soooo close.
Thought I would add a couple updates that I did last year before the season ended.
Upgraded the cooktop, the old one cracked.
Whale Seaward Princess 2 Burner Cooktop 120V Pencil Edge 2247-5100
Upgraded the galley faucet with higher arch, definitely makes the sink easier to use, should have done that years ago! And the Aft cabin head faucet upgraded as well have to fix my Port drive before Spring Launch. Install of speakers is on the list for this season

Lovely upgrades! I did the bathroom faucets as well. Getting a higher sink faucet is now on my short list!
