Just updating everyone on this years projects so far. It was a year of aesthetics! We had our seats done by a professional and I decided to give upholstery work a try on my coaming boards. I still have to figure out how I am going to wrap the corners, but i'm 99% there. Here area few pics...

I stole this design from someone...I cant remember which forum member had come up with this style, but it looks super clean.

Don't mind the mess, she's a work in progress! My first attempt involved wrapping the vinyl super tight. I hated the look so i redid it and kept the factory squared off look. There are a few wrinkles that I'm not super happy with, but all things considered, I think they look great. The boards themselves were a pain in the butt to cut. I used Veranda Cellular PVC from Home depot. I messed one of the long angled ones up and had to buy two full sheets of the stuff, but a few smaller ones. My originals were pretty rotted, so I didn't have the best template. With a few recuts and additional measurements, I managed to make it all work.

Oh and one more of my LED lights. They are Lumitec SeaBlazeX and I fired them up last night for the first time after dark. Man, these things are BRIGHT! They are blue, white, blue/white or they flash. Pretty sweet!

Also, my stripes are gone :) This pic was before the compounding was done. I drew the DIY line here and hired this job out.

She should be in the water this Thursday!

Thanks! I feel like she is really starting to come together.

I was reminded by my wife yesterday that removing the coaming boards and the old boat name were the first two things i did to this boat. It only took me 2 years, but at least i've finished 1/2 of my first mods.

WOW - - - LOOKING WONDERFUL

I am currently in the middle of a similar project, so I share your pleasure AND pain at the same time.

These meter boats were spectacular when new, and bringing one back makes the impact fresh all over again.

Ok, here's the last BIG upgrade of the year..a new platform! I ordered this bad boy from Butler Marine in PA. Mike at Butler is almost as great at customer service as Bob...not quite though. No on is actually as good as Bob!

So here's the story. I debated rebuilding my existing platform, but at the end of the day, I wanted a larger one and so did Captain Wife. I found a bunch of posts about Butler Marine on a few different forums and decided to go with them vs the other big name platform sites. It took a little longer than I wanted, but the end result is fantastic. The platform is solid glass and the finish work is great.

I still have to install my undermount ladder that was supplied with the platform. That's going on today.

Due to my impatience, this was done in the water. When I haul out next, I'll be reinforcing the platform a little more. I used the factory brackets and I will need to extend them. That's on the list in the next couple weeks.

really looks good.

I just installed one from PLASTEAK, and also went with the under platform ladder.

Gives the transom a much cleaner, nicer, uncluttered look than that old hinged one up against the transom.

Your boat is really looking good !!!
