Solid, I would say it's about .25 in thickness
Ok.... I had thought the transom was thinner than that, and might be too thin to handle the load for mounting cleats, but I guess this thickness + backing plates should hold up (hopefully)!

Well, how thick was the top, where you cut out the holes for the hawse pipe, and the cleats used to be mounted? Bet its on 1/4 or 3/8" ...
The Hawse pipes will take up a lot of the load, and the load on the cleats will now be a 100% side load, so the transom should be fine.

If it was the same place as the original cleats it is nearer 1" if my memory serves me well from when I rebed mine.

Better quality photos
Needless to say I will be finishing off the inside part of the transom in the next couple of weeks.

Its the right way to install cleats - wish they hadn't gone with cleats up top on the F32s ...
Its like that crazy white Nav light in front of the upper helm. I hate that thing - and its gone as soon as I find time to finish out my new radar arch!

Still want to sell, but it's not moving so I figure I'll just keep on improving it. maybe it will make it more attractive to a buyer.
$12,500.00 will buy it right now!
