Have you read the thread at all ? What do you think about we are doing here, in an area who parts from Mercruiser, Ford and Chrysler are not part of common sense ?

Not sure why you took offense but Larry's post made sense about making a part up ( thats what I would have done ) no need to make a exact copy.

Sorry for that - but I'm going to go impatient. Most of our boats in our marina already had 'crane-day' and started winterizing. We still hanging around
Wrong parts, wrong 'specialists', nobody whith Know-how around. It sucks.

Don't know if I offended you but not my intention. In these old boats we must fabricate many parts, I was just suggesting to sit down and think it through and you may be able to make something that will work. My old Chryslers have a simple arm that is held on by manifold bolt, seems something could be made to work, the hard part would seem to be holding the cable housing, hooking to Carby should not be that difficult.
sketch up what you need maybe someone around here can make something. I have the plasma torch etc but have not got around to running enough electrical power to use them as yet. Surly you have a machine shop somewhere in Deutscheland that can make what you need if it cannot be found. Will cost but then your boat is usable.
You have a diagram as to what it looks like, get measurements from engine and hunt a machine shop somewhere, if you have to search the US.
Does the other engine have the correct part you need, if so you have a model for machinist.

Would it be possible for someone in the southern states to possibly check out a boat recycling yard for one of these parts and then send it overseas? I would think about doing it however we have no boat bone yards around here.
You may also be able to get these parts thru the hosts of this web site, Beacon Marine.

do they not have wrecking yards over there that carry chevs or the equivelant? the linkage from a car should work in a pinch also, perhaps an aftermarket car shop that sells holleys could help....

Thanks again guys for your participation
"wrecking yards for chevs" HERE

Good lord - never, every old part will be collected and refurbished.
Tomorrow a specialist will come to have a look for the missing parts and try to fix it. He's a Boat-specialist, before we had Car-specialists - Hope his work will work
BTW: At Nov. 4. we have fixed crane day, I'll keep you informed !

just read the thread on this post and it seems that a smooth translation between german and english is difficult at best (my wife was a german lit major in college) I doubt Hiener was trying to be offensive, it was "lost in translation"
anyways, I wish I has saved the throttle cable bracket off of my old engines, i think they are exactly what he is looking for.
He could go to a different cable all together and eliminate the special mercruiser setup?

Thank's guys again for your help. Today I've got an PM from gettaway, asking whats up.
First, we have build our own DIY-style brackets:
AFAIK it works properly
But both Rochester carburetors needing one missing part here, I cant find:
Still looking for, -- Greetings - Heiner

Now that is great, that is what I was referring to when I suggested getting creative. Problem is the boating industry is not like the auto industry. Many parts are crafted for only a few installs then on to another style of type.
Good Luck

Hi I was asking because I found two original mercruiser carburetor throttle brackets but it looks like you did a nice job fabricating them
