I'm thinking the gutter needing love is probably where my major leaks are coming from. I need to find the leak on the starboard side that has danaged the head wall up top. Seems like it might be coming in the same general area on the port side too.
What does the 5050 indicate? I can't wait for my manual to get here.
I can't believe people liked Disco, AND these interior back in the mid 70s!

5050 means it was built in 1975 and is the 50th built, of that model.

Cool F-30. Good luck with that drip edge on the bridge. What a pain that thing is. The cause of more than one leak for more than a few people. Getting that thing cleaned up reattached can go a long way to stop water infiltration from the bridge. Now that you have it off you can see the 'sandwich joint' (no thats not the name of a luncheonette or something you smoke after a midnight snack). Filling and fairing that joint has been helpful to some folks experiencing some of the symptoms you have described. Good luck getting it sorted.
BTW I like your orange plaid factory upholstery. I agree its almost 2012, so its time for it to go, but I still think its cool to see thes boats in their original unmolested state.

Got my manual today, cool to see the original invoice. i can't believe this boat only cost $21K back in 1975!

Can I remove my drip rail, use something like marine tex to seal up the bridge joint, then replace the drip rail? I was going to use some adhesive in addition to re-using the screws.
As for my aft deck, I need to replace the side panels, what are they made of? They are easy to bend.
My longitudinal stringers seem fine, some of the transverse "stringers" are a little rough, can I sister these that need help?
I am trying to do this somewhat on a budget. I know boats are money pits BUT I am going to leave this in a slip 95% of the time. And when I do take it out it will just be to Sand Island, or the flats, or MAYBE a trip to Lloyd's once a year. I kept our Wellcraft Nova for making trips in.
I bought this F30 very cheaply. I am not concerned about resale, just comfort in a slip for my wife and I.
Does anyone have pics of their engine hatches open? I want to see how the hatches are actually supported.
