1975 F30 wallet buster

Post by Skargo »

I bought this gem needing a little polish.
http://www.trojanboats.net/wforum/viewt ... ight=hatch

I went to the boat today, and put a carb on the port engine. We are splashing it Thursday and making a few mile trip to it's slip.
The port engine carb needs a rebuild, so we'll just be on the port Thursday.

My plans are to make sure all the mechanical systems are up to par, then update the interior and address and cosmetic issues. As a kid in the 70's, I always loved these boats!
Any advice is appreciated!

Good luck running on the one motor, I ran on one a lot before rebuilding the starboard motor this year(low oil pressure). Did good running but not so good maneuvering............had to use them both getting in and out of my slip or a dock.........John

Should be OK, here's tomorrows forecast.
SE winds 5 kt. Waves less than 1 ft. A chance of showers. Patchy fog. Vsby 1 to 3 nm.

I've never run a twin engine craft, so I guess it will be training for IF one gives up somewhere and I would need to limp back to port.

And don't push the running engine....it'll just burn more gas and you'll just plow ...

Change of plans. It was a little rough out today and a TON of debris still, the gates at Conowingo are open today again.

I am going to leave it on the hard for the winter, get the other engine running, and clean it up and address some important issues. I did get on the list for a slip at Tydings in Havre de Grace.
