My winter work includes hopefully selling the boat, and redoing the swim platform coring.

Ron, I use planer boards. I have out riggers but they can't compare to how far outside of the boat and how many more lines I can troll with. I store my riggers and don't use them. I usually run 5-6 lines from each planer line.

I ran 18 rods this past weekend but have run up to 26. :) :) :)

Planer boards are fine unless your in a tight group a boats , we don't use them Much down here .( I never have) A charter boat from up your way uses them down here off VB in the trophy season kind of screws things up ( when in Rome ) .

I have never used them and rarely use the out riggers for stripers


I am happy with 4-6 lines

Yes Paul, agreed. Depends on where and how you fish.
I have never had a problem other than bouncing my boards off a few steel channel bouys once or twice... :roll:

I can only run that many lines with a crew. Otherwise for a few friends we may run 6-8.
