What is on your winter "to do" list?

Post by bkwesq »

I need to:

Get the rebuilt 318 working in the garage
-attach trans
-starter
-alternator
-water pump
and everything I'm forgetting

2. Build a bench seat for the stern that can be removed to access hatch
3. May build hard-top
4. Save money to have the engine installed

I need to find a carb for my port engine, and hang a manifold on the same engine. Clean the crap out of the bilge. Make sure all through hulls are solid, paint bottom. Clean everything. Find out why my flybridge gauges don't work. Reupholster cushions. Replace the rotted wall in the head, and find out why it is rotten.

finish getting the winter tarp's on. kinda trial and see if the winter blows it apart thing going on right at the moment . if all holds there we should be in good shape to get her heated and remove and reclean , repair or replace the electrical. waiting for the cushions and will soon have the new cherry int to reinstall. coming slow but looking like a classy boat that got saved from davies locker

Even though I will be using her , I do have a list

Get the old set of props redone and ready for haul out .stock up on paint and zinks so I only have a week down time at most .

service the after-coolers ( Not making that 5K mistake again  )

Install comand mic on back deck

New carpet as I can fish with it torn up ( and mama is at home  )

1.Get the starboard engine buttoned back up.
2. Hit the Bay for stripers.
3. Haul and align the port prop strut, replace mounting plate, and make it happy.
4. New freshwater pump.
5. Generator install.
6. New control cables and controls on the flybridge.
7. Sand hull and new barrier coat.
8. Shoot myself in the face.

I think that covers it.

I did not list mine as too many. But to Heefus, I just pulled the two water tanks on my F28, did I get a surprise. Each tank is a different size, both sides of the engine room are the same one is bigger in Diameter and longer.

Any idea why Trojan did that. I a replacing with two 30 gal food grade plastic barrels.

BTW the galvanized tanks were junk.
