Wow Aaron, thats sounds pretty bad. That wheel must be pretty messed up. Was this something that happened before you bought her, or since? It must suck to have such a nice boat and not be able to use it much. Hope you get it sorted out and get to put lots of hours on her next season.

Happy B'day to Macabee! :D (Pics of pup in question?) Is he the patron dog of the festival of lights?

now now, be nice. ask mike kulp, my neighbor at parkside. ENTERPRISE left the dock twice in the fall. once to get fuel for the winter, and the second time i had the expert team of mike and kathy kulp to practice docking and pumping out. I'm glad to have them along. hopefully once the port prop is fixed her handling will improve.

I was . I said that meter boat would make a nice pier sitter , due to the fact it was on a very very small lake . It was some one else that said tri cabin ( a person that owes me a tanker of fuel) they will remain nameless . I defended the tri by saying Pier sitters come in all types of boats .

No my boat may come a pier sitter, if the nameless one won't deliver my fuel
Allen I am waiting on my fuel OPPS !!
As I stated on another thread,(forget which one), The tanker got a flat tire and was waiting on road service, which was being provided by Jamie but he went striper fishing! The driver got tired of waiting and abandoned the truck, Jamie still hasn't fixed the tire!! So as soon as the tire is fixed I will get your load of #2 on its way to you! It is close to you!

aaronbocknek wrote: hey allen, ENTERPRISE is scheduled to be winterized on friday at 1000 hrs. the prop fix will be held off until spring as i'm still getting the funds together. i will keep you posted when i start recruiting a crew. now that i know how to get to sue island marina where john is, i feel more secure about taking her over. it won't be a fast trip as the bent blades send a really bad vibration through the entire boat just below 1000 rpm.
where are you having yours hauled? wish you could have kept her in the water at parkside. they take a few every winter.
Mine is down Goose Harbor. Got an April 15 launch date possibly earlier if ready. Sending my props for a 'tune up' this winter. Started getting a slight vibration mid summer so having them done, and checking everything else.
goose harbor, isn't that the marina run by that crazy old man who runs around in a golf cart? two people in my marina had a silverton there until they moved it over to parkside. when i went to visit, even though i was invited by the spaldings, he insisted that i sign a waver stating that i was not working on the boat. the man is an odd ball to be sure. i'd like to see your vessel when she's hauled out if she is available, but i will need to meet you at the marina's front gate. i do NOT want another confrontation with that guy.
A lot of people say Mark is crazy, he is actually a very decent man to deal with. He does not like outside contractors coming on his property without prior approval. We just got a transfer from parkside in on sunday he was on the opposite side of 5th ave according to him. His name is Jimmy and he has a 268 searay, off white and maroon. Let me know what weekend you want to come over and I will meet you there and save you from Mark!

the wheel in question has two of the three blades curved over roughly 1/4 of an inch. while bringing the boat from longbeach marina where i bought her to parkside, there was an unmarked steel crab trap in the middle of the channel. that's what caused the damage. it also jarred loose two of the 4 bolts holding the port shat V-strut. that too will have to be lowered and rebedded during the haulout.

okay, i'm attempting to upload some pics of not only maccabee, but phil too. i know you all are curious to see both.
