Marine Plywood

Post by wvernie »

I'm replacing the deck on my 26 ft Trojan Yacht and cannot find any marine plywood in West Virginia that is at least 9 foot long which is what the orginial was. Does anyone know where I can locate this beast?

Wvernie,
I replaced the teak deck on my E26 soft top with raw tung and grove teak, you need around 100sq ft to do the deck and hatch’s. When it is done you cant ask for a better look, each seam is sealed with silicon on the back side and is nailed with s/s nails. If you re-deck with ½ pre treated than place the flooring over that you will add around 150 lb to the weight of the boat. Once it is down you just oil it now and than. Oh yeah, all that for under 500$

Check out http://www.worldpanel.com. I bought marine grade teak/holly for my cabin sole there. They're out of FL I think, and ship anywhere.
