13 Meter Express Generator Exhaust

Hello,
I continue to work on the engines and I've removed the generator to make more space. While disconnecting everything for the generator removal the exhaust line exits through the hull next to the starboard engine, see picture below. My question: is this factor installed? The thru hall fitting didn't seem very well installed. Many generators' exhausts tie into the main engine exhaust, just wondering if this is standard.

Our 12 meter Sedan is similar.

Most likely stock Trojan did mostly out the back but did some out the side. There is an issue with the side exhaust, fumes from the exhaust when rafting up. Do not run the gen-set when rafting up.
