a little help from Trojan owners who use Facebook?
I'm tring to get my CoastalCafe blog listed in the Facebook NetworkedBlogs application.
CoastalCafe provides marine photography around Rhode Island and local knowledge along the waterfront for people who simply enjoy "messing about in boats." Relax and enjoy a break at CoastalCafe"
I'm looking for facebook users to confirm that I'm the owner of the blog.
I would appreciate if those of you who are members of Facebook would cruise over to http://apps.facebook.com/blognetworks/blog/coastalcafe/ and click the link that says help confirm the author.
If you look at the blog, let me know what you think.
Thanks a million!
Chuck

Thanks again to those who submitted a confirmation. So far, from the poll it looks like members of Trojanboats.net are for the most part, not facebook users. I guess that's not a big surprise. I still need a few more confirmations, so if there are any facebook members out there, I would appreciate your help as descirbed my post that started this thread.
Wozer, The photos are posted directly on the blog and an RSS feed reader is used to pull them into Facebook.
The link that shows up to the Blog about Brittish Columbia was placed there by BlogNetwork it's categorized as a "related blog" because it has a "Boating Destinations" keyword tag.
As for the Trojan on a stick comment. That was part of my back-up plan for when fuel goes over $5/gal. I hope I'll have to wait a few more years for it to become cost effective.
If you are interested in Classic Yachting Magazine, you can read current and back issues online. It contains a lot of gorgeous old powerboats (as well as some of those rag boats too). The direct link to my blog post about it is here. http://coastalcafe.blogspot.com/2008/11 ... azine.html
My new year got off to a rocky start early this morning when I steped out of the house to pick up the newspaper and landed flat on my back because my walk was a sheet of glare ice. Other than a bruised elbow, a small lump on the back of my head and a sore butt, I'm none the worse for the wear.
Best,
Chuck

I opened a facebook account a few days ago and then after getting weird mail from some of my kids' friends or people on their facebook lists I dropped the account. If you have kids who use facebook and email them often (like me) then they will show up as "friends" to add to your facebook account. When you do that you also "invite" THEIR friends to be your "friends" - oh just one big kumbaya!!!
Beware....you may have gained a portal into their world - not something for us old guys....I am a firm believer in "don't ask - don't even think about asking" when it comes to finding out about my adult children's personal lives...and facebook is one way of getting a glimpse....YIKES!
