Guys,
My ancient 1971 F26 has a Titan 2.5gal water heater. (So much for long romantic showers!!) The gasket around the heating element is bad. I can't find any info on this at all. Its a Titan E1E2.5 120v. You guys have any ideas? What are the rest of you using? Any suggestions on replacements?
Thanks

Gasket bad
If it is just the gasket that is bad, I would go to a local plumbing shop and ask them if they can cut you a gasket or if they have a gasket for a similar type element. The element on the water heater is nothing special for marine applications as it is not in a combustible space. You should be able to find a replacement element with gasket at the plumbing shop. All you need to know is the voltage, size, and threaded hole diameter on your water heater. If the water heater worked fine before, I'd just replace the element.

Thanks guys
The gasket is not one that can be made out flat material. Its more like a boot than a gasket. After looking at the links you guys posted, I can buy a new one for less than 300. which may be what I do if my patches don't work!!
