F32 Props
What came with my boat and seem to be correct for twin 318's are:Stripermann2 wrote:Stock F32 props shoud be 16X16, I believe...
16x15 3 blade
17x14 4 blade
The 3 blades were on it when I bought it and the 4 blades were spare (damaged). I repaired the 4 blades and have switched so that the 3 blades (also retuned on removal) are now my spare set. 3 blades give me higher top speed which I can't afford to use

Docking in tight spaces is so much easier with the extra response the 4 blades give. I also get the low speed cruise condition using the 4 blades that the three does not seem to give me with the dinghy load off the back.
Of course I don't tend to use the low speed much and tend to run at 3150 rpm most of the time... about 18 Knots+ depending on the boat trim I can achieve in the sea conditions.
Just completed a two week vacation on Georgian Bay going to the North Channel in varying sea conditions with fuel burns from as low as 52 litres/hr up to 83 l/hr, majority in low 70's. This is a simple derived method litres at fill up vs hours run.... I don't have fuel flow meters.
Here are the photos I took on the trip for anyone interested:

i apologize for not asking the shaft size, i am very new to boating as my project boat has yet to see the water (1974 31` searaider) i will list to you all the numbers on my props as i took them off today and was not aware there were different shaft sizes
3 blade props and beetween the blades it says on the side
1) HI TA NAP
2) 14RH RH11 COLUMBIAN
3) 207050
on the ends where the shaft goes through like the circle part it says on side
1) FFG
2) 1411 1133A H/T
i don`t know how clear that is to you but if you could break it down for me how to interpret these numbers i would appreciate that
thank you for your time

CaptainRob don't apologize I just thought it was funny that every one want these yet did not ask the shaft size .In fact no knows what size they are for sure you need 14 x? and wants them , some one eles needs 16x? and wants them and someone that may have 18x? wants them . props need to be the right size . Maybe Bill will post the size when He gets Time
