it's moi, with yet ANOTHER question...

Post by Tuck »

okay, what the <bleep> does he want this time, you're asking, right?

i spoke to a guy today about redoing my bridge enclosure. the one i have now is original, and as you can imagine, in need of replacement. so with that, i'm starting to look into it.

one thing i want to do as well, is enclose the rear deck. however, i don't have a frame, and the guy said he could do the bridge, but not the rear deck because he doesn't have a frame that would work.

my question is where do you guys who have your rear decks enclosed get your frames, and enclosures, even? were they custom made? would a generic frame work then have the enclosure made to fit? etc, etc.

from what i see in the av photo, wowzer has a great set up...and i've seen g36's in person.

Request/Suggestion.... Can you put what you are asking about in the subject and not another question etc: as you do?
Reason for my request anyone looking at subject in the future will miss what you are asking about and so must search bodies which can make things more laborious. When you put a subject that describes the questions basics it helps the other guy coming by in the future.... the real value of forums like this.
End of my little rant...... like other's my canvas guy also makes frames.

Suggestion look for another canvas guy since yours does not seem to have those skills. If you want the canvas to last it is worth using those with more experience and skill in my opinion. I don't see canvas as being an area to scrimp on quality.

Michael ...

The search feature will still find it ... I use it all the time to shortcut to solutions to maintenance/repair tasks I must perform (only owned my F32 5 years). This site has been a HUGE help ...

I'd also recommend that everyone go through their boat and photograph everything (down to the smallest details) from several angles, download to your computer, rename to description of the photo (for searching) and burn to CD?. This will aid you in troublseshooting at your laptop, while searching here .... ;-)

Yes and one will be looking at a variety of threads too.
All I am suggesting is that putting something in the subject that describes what you are asking about is in fact very helpfull.... if Tuck does not agree then he need not do that.

I just happen to find it more pleasant to be a little informed by the subject line, especially when I come back from vacation and have a long list to read. Were Canvas or SS frames in the subject I might read it sooner than 'yet another question' line
