obviously, you didn't get the memo.

on the first wednesday of each month in which a hamster is mated with a gerbil, creating a germster, the forums will be closed to anyone who's name begins with an a.

this is in order to stop the tides in the outter mongolian lakebeds from rising to the point of destroying the habitat for the endangered purple nosed toad frogs.

at least, that's what i was told.

for some reason it will not allow me to respond to the rendezvous picture thread. i've tried everything from changing browsers to logging in under my dad's name. i've even tried using my lap top but to no avail. i have no clue so i will try to post another thread about the pics.

no, it was operator (me) error. what i did originally was save the post to an email because i could not finish it the first time. i did a 'cut and paste' from my AOL mail box and for some reason, the forum post scripting will not allow for this. i totally screwed up on that one. so, for now, i want to table the thread. believe me, if i could delete this one i would. i am totally embarrassed about this.

Now, now Aaron....There, there. Everyone makes mistakes now and then. Of course, if you had sent me the $1000 this never would have happened in the first place. Oh well, live and learn.

Seriously, this forum is amazing in that people here are always willing and able to help. Wish I'd have been above to get to the rendezvous, but the mighty Blue Heron only has so many big trips left in her. Looks like it was a great time. Maybe next year we'll drive over.

Great Sacandaga Lake. Just west of Lake George in upstate NY. We transported the BH to the Mohawk River last year and toured the Erie Canal as far west as Rochester/Pittsford, NY. The BH has been on Sacandaga ever since it was new in '77. It would probably shrivel up and die if it ever hit salt water.
