The surveyor suggested that I replace the tank to fuel pump lines on my mid cabin because they are stiff and don't have much flex. I agree, after disconnecting them to replace my fuel filters.

Have any of you guys done this and where did you source them? I'll ask Bob at Beacon as well.

Do they need to me made up based on measurements? I assume they're specific to the boat based on the length of each line. I think the port side might be a little longer because of the location of the fuel pump.

He also suggested replacing the vent and fill lines as well.

Just your standard marine fuel line A-1 rated any marine store or marina should have it

I'm assuming so unless there are some fairly standard lengths. The fill and vent hoses are just hose clamps so that'll be easy.

The tank to pump lines look like rubber with a cloth braid and fittings on each end.

You can replace the fittings and use A-1 marine hose or take it to a place that makes custom hose and have them made (useing A-1 hose) , you may be able to reuse the fittings

A-1 hose is the spec for USCG aproved fuel hose for inboard use


You can use the A-1 for the vent also , A-2 is spec for the fill hose

The will say USCG TYPE A-1 OR USCG TYPE A-2 on the hoses

do not use auto motive type hoses

Yes make sure the hose you use has the spec. numbers that Paul gave you.
and never use anything else ! I had some carb work done on my gen. set before I cleared the deal on mine this year and auto hose was used in 4 months time it failed from the inside out. It's the 10% corn gas that eats it...

one place I don't want to worry about getting the right stuff.
