winterizing

Post by fourreins »

Should you tape off the exhaust holes after winterizing the engines? I see some boaters do cover the exhaust outlets and others don't. Any right or wrong?

I will not hurt some times criters will get up in the exhust . boats have sunk fron this ( they eat a hole in the exhust hose ) Its rare but it happens . I don't do it ( I do stay in the water) but if I was in a area where a lot of boats do it , I would also do it to be safe.
