wiper motor removal - is there a trick to it?

Post by BobCT »

I pulled off the cover and removed the large nut on the outside of the frame. I think there was also a couple of screws too. The back of the motor is loose but it almost feels like I never removed the large nut.

Is there another fastener I'm missing? I was expecting the threaded post to pull right through..

thanks,
Bob

We replaced two on ours and we did have to remove the large nut on the outside. It was still pretty tight from corrosion around the stem to the outside. There might be a screw that holds the motor from turning on the shaft but I think ours had something that fitted into the channel that secured it. One did have a screw into the channel from another retrofit.
