mid cabin - forward bilge drain?

Post by BobCT »

I changed all of my sanitation hoses last week to try and eliminate my odor problem. Big improvement but still there a little bit.

It seems to be coming from the bilge area right in front of the holding tank, in front of the v berth. The vacu-flush pump happens to be located there so I'm suspicious.

I have cleaned out this part of the bilge but have no idea where the water is going? The boat is up on the hard with the bow a little higher. I used a hose today and flushed out this area and just behind it in front of the head where the vacu-flush tank is located.

I had my wife check and none of the water drained out the back of the boat. I was expecting to see it travel through the engine room floor.

Is it pooling up somewhere? I don't see another center bilge hatch in the cabin unless it's under the mid cabin floor.

thanks,
Bob

On our boat I don't think that area drains to the middle part of the boat. We have a bildge pump in that area for it. I think our potable water tank stops it from going to the area under the captains station between the engines.

starting under the v-berth (boat is bow up on the blocks). I could see it run back under where the fresh water pump is located but that's it.

Hope I don't have 20 gallons of water smelly/diluted bilge water now moved to another area..
