10 meter vs 10.8 meter

Post by fourreins »

Anyone know if a swimplatform from a 85' express would fit on a 89' international? I know the beam is the same but am not sure if any other differences may exist.

I would think you should be able to make it work the platforms were added on and did not come on the boat when build

The beam on the 10 meter and 10.8 Meter series are identical.

The stainless steel brackets are bolted through the transom.

These were part of the factory bonding system.

The factory used wooden backing plates to spread the load. I replaced mine with STARBOARD.

Be sure and use 4200 or 5200 in the holes when you go back in.

So all the boats were built with the brackets? How would I locate the brackets to attach the braces to?

No, I believe it was an option as I've seen magazine review articles with photos of these boats with no swim platform.

My boat doesn't have a platform now so it may be more difficult for me to add one??? Can you see the brackets through the access holes on the back deck?

The stainless steel brackets are on the OUTSIDE.

If you have no swim platform, you have no brackets.

Try BEACON MARINE or MARINE TECH.
