Brackets

Post by fourreins »

I am adding a swim platform to my boat and have a question. After I drill the holes in the hull for the thru bolts I plan on filling with 4200. Do I need to put some type of epoxy around around the fresh hole before I fill with the 4200 and bolts? I thought I read once that the water could be absorbed through the fiberglass if not sealed first. Or is the 4200 enough to seal all????

I used 5200 and I put it on the board that inside I put it on the bracket also. I used big finder washers on the inside I put some on back of them as well. There was no leaks.
