carver with 440's

Post by carverman »

i got the two 440's in that 1982 carver 33ft and the one engine i just got new from bob love it .. the other reverse engine has about 340 hours on it

here's what i got, the reverse motor is running great 160 on temp everywhere on the motor with that little heat ck gun i mean runs great this is the old engine with 340 hours

HOWEVER the new motor is running about 155temp on the hoses going into the heat exchanger like it should manifolds are running 160,,
the term.... housing is about 180 up on plain at 3100 rpm that worries me

and some parts of the block are running 178 to 180 from the reading on that temp ck gun?? all four risers are running 109 to 110 on temp
just a litle steam out the back should i worry

what do you all think of the tenps from engine to engine the old engine is running the temp it should .,one more thing ,all new hoses on the new motor and just 2 hours on it so far?? could the timing be off a bit?? or does it still have to be broke in more ?? i just don't know?
