ramp to get big old dogs on the boat

I am wondering what dog owners use to get the dogs on to the boat. I have a 4 door pick-up and I use a 1/2" thick plywood, 18" wide by 5' long with an indoor outdoor carpet glued to the plywood. I am thinking the same thing for the 40' Trojan MY that I get in 9 days and counting. Any other suggestions?? thanks

I usually just carry my old dog across, tho she doesn't like me calling her that!
