looking for gaskits and parts for a 1984 6.5 owan genset where might i go

if no one locally can help, try contacting caterpillar...the construction equipment company. the gentleman who works on my boat (and who worked in the mechanical industry for years before retiring) told me that caterpillar has something to do with onan...can't remember if it is the parent company, bought onan, or what...but they service the onan units.

do you have a service manual? if so and have part numbers you can even try ebay for parts.or cummins/onan
smokstak.com has a world of info on the generators. should be able to find advice/manuals for download

smokstak.com has a great onan forum. You can get parts at Jacks small engine, onanparts.com, ess-kay yards, and cummins\onan dealer.

at smokstak there are posts for getting the manuals online.
