If you remove the switch it should have the specs some where on the switch body, voltage, amperage etc. this will tell you what you need.

Just wanna confirm you are looking for this for a Raritan -- my '79 still has the original 'Monomatic' recirculating electric head, with a 'momentary on' push button switch, and I have a part number for it - Blue Sea 8200... (100% 12V DC, its wired up in a way that it works even if battery switches are off).

if your switch is activiating a solenoid such as with a raritan crown head the switch doesnt have much current on it. the solenoid is carrying the load. the switch is just activating it. if so just about any momentary switch will be fine. all a switch is doing is making and breaking a contact inside of it. yes pull the old one and look at it but its not something to stress over finding the exact switch.
if you do have the solenoid might make sure that thats not what is bad instead of the switch

The push button switch you should be using is the extra heavy duty switch that is rated at 35 amps @ 12 volts. West Marine sells the switch, model # 270876 which comes with a black water-repelent cover. Cole # M-626.
