I have been lurking here for some time now, as I had bought a 1975 F30 'Clean Machine' at the beginning of June. I bought it in Charleston, SC and finally had it moved to St. Augustine, FL over the holiday weekend.
So, as I introduce myself, let me say this is the first big boat I have had. Many years of trailer size, but nothing like this. It needs some work, which I hope to do mostly myself, so I want to say "Thanks" in advance for all that I will be asking !
I think the boat has been repowered sometime in the past. It has PCM motors, twin Ford 351w, from what I have figured out. My first question is this: What is the proper way to reffer to these when I do post a question ? I have noticed most are reffered to by HP ratings, and I don't know what that might be on these. Thanks again !
Mike

Welcome aboard and nice looking boat.
The 351 Ford is usually 255 or 260 HP from what I have seen and read. My Mercruisers are 255hp and they are the Ford 351 engine.

You can always depend on Tuck to throw in a little international flavor....but with a slight southern drawl

Southern Germany? y'all
....Welcome. My 351's are Merc 233hp with 2 bbl carbs. I believe 4bbl produce 255hp in the merc like prowlerfish said.
