Please help me id these engines.
They are pcm mercruisers 5.7lt v8 On the tag behind the cylinder head it has PCM 293748, PLH 000, V05099AN, stamped on top of the inlet manifold is GM 14086244. I think they could be 1986-1990 454cid's but I'm not sure.
They are out of my newly purchased 1974 Trojan f32, and on the paperwork in the original book it say that they are mercs 225rr32254 but I think these have been change at some time.
I know they have been out the boat a for while and will most probably need re-conditioning. would it be worth it ? and approximately how much would it cost.
As I live in France, do you know of any company's that could do this over here?

Most likely small block Chevys. (5.7) PCM used a lot of vortec style heads in their marine application. If after 1986 or so, head, manifold and valve cover were changed in design. Are there two bolts going through the valve covers, securing them to head. 4 valve cover bolts could be either BB or earlier SB. If two bolts, small block.
Take a look at the valve covers if they are verry wide, they will be big blocks. F32's never came from the factory with big blocks.
I just ran that intake number. Small block.
