mid cabin - radar arch

Post by BobCT »

My radar arch is getting wet on both sides. This will be my #1 project once the boat comes out, I've seen the arches bow out at the bottom when the plywood gets wet and freezes over the winter.

The "arch" part is dry, the lower sections on each side around the attachment bolts are where it's getting wet. I need to re-work the bimini top on the arch, it's leaking and funneling water down the sides and into the bottom.

How do I get to the backside lower part of the arch? I can remove the inside panel but don't know if I'll be able to see the plywood. Once I'm in there I'll have to figure out whether I try and replace a section on each side or leave it alone. It's still structurally ok so I want to catch this now and spend some time re-bedding everything when I'm done.
