Sliding Door lock

Post by DonTJr »

Hi,Just bought a 1995 Trojan 350 express and need some info on the sliding door to cabin. The PO does not have the key to the lock an the lock seems to be missing something. The brand is MAG,but their website does not show a lock like this. So i guess my question is has anybody changed to a different lock or style? Need to have a locking door Thanks

I replaced the entire lockset on an F32 this summer, ordered it from a local company that does custom commercial sliding doors and glass storefronts. It was a perfect replacement and cost less than half what I paid to replace the locks on my house. I can get you the name and phone of the company if you like, they are in Glen Burnie, MD. Or you can check with a company local to you.

this is from the Q & A section of the carver website under 'service'.
hope this helps. you might want to contact a person i delt with earlier this summer when i purchase the last remaining carver drop leaf hi-lo table. his name is bret temple and he works in the parts department. his direct email addy is btemple@marquisyachts.com (carver is now part of marquis hence the domain name of marquis) i believe that all you would need to do is provide the hull number and they can trace anything back to that.

I took mine out of the door. Then went to a commercial lock smith and supply......They matched it up exactly for around $80....
