rudder bellcrank/arm set up pictures needed

Post by guglielmo6160 »

and yet more requests,
the boat is coming along well, engine is running fine, and have the trans hooked up and control cables hooked up, so all is well in that dept,
now im installing a new teleflex steering helm and cable setup,
I have a new rudder, shaft and bellcrank, so it seems pretty straight foward, but would appreciate some pics of where the cable /pushrod attaches to the bellcrank of the rudder,
just to get an idea
thanks in advance,
here is a picture I just took, the end of the steering cable is just laying there , of course its not hooked up,

Why not go hydraulic steering rather than cable?

I would think cost would be the main thing.

Foofer,

Did you change your's over to hydraulic steering or did you buy it like that? If you went from cable to hydraulic, what difference in handling did you notice?

thanks for the pic foof,
Im basically going to do the same thing, except for hydraulic steering, I have a cable,
and just wanted to see how the actuation is ,
instead of your hydro actuator, mine is similar but mechanical,
and did you get the boat like that or did you switch it over?
