Well, we solved it ...

Post by rossjo »

Decided to try something new - and took the Quadrajet off of my 26 and the other Qjet off of my old Corvette and took them over to Larry's F36 and swapped out the AFBs.

We took her out and she ran 4,200 RPM and 42.5 knots (GPS)! Unbelievable!

WOW!

Stopped by a buddy's shop and looked at the Whipple Charger - that would add another 5 knots I'm sure!

Good to hear you got her running good again! Now, it'll take you no time to get to Port Kinsale! :)

Ha - never touched the boat - worked all day.

Just having some fun - Larry and I will rebuild the AFB carbs next week (seriously).

Have a good weekend!
