Trojan/Carver

Post by Stripermann2 »

I hate to bring this up guys and I'll keep this brief. I've been guilty of ribbing Tony about his Carver along with a few others. Well, I'd like to apologize to him.

Tony feels he's not part of this board... and that is absolutely NOT the case. His contributions are priceless as far as I'm concerned. I think he knows that fun is poked in jest and not meant in any harm. I guess I can't blame him but it's unwarranted for him to go away. :(

So Tony, if you are reading this, please stay on and I for one, will cease with the Carver snippits. You're a good friend and contributor here and the board will not be the same without you! Give it some thought Tony!

I am sure everyone else agrees.

Here's some ramblings :

I am a Step-Father. I raised those 2 boys through their formative years until they went off to college. Now I'm not their "Biological" father, but they still call me "Pop". And there were a few times I heard "Your not my real Dad" !! All in all they respect me.

Carver bought out Trojan, and became like a step dad. So maybe we should show Tony alittle respect. I don't see any other brand owners willing to hang out with a bunch of Orphans
Thanks for listening, sermon over

I do not feel we are Orphans at all, not will all the support here , much better then most brands .

With that said yes we should be nice to Carver owners and welcome them as the cousins they are.

Any ribbing on my part was in fun and no disrespect of your fine vessel.

What happened Tony?

I am considering buying a old Concord, but still plan on staying with the forum. And as one of the first members of this forum I say stick around!

I had a 1972 31 Flybridge. If Will's looking at my old boat, he needs to contact me!

The hull on those boats are thick and bullet proof, nice boat. I enjoyed mine...while I had it.

Well, I guess I would have a different take. He'll probably get more useful advise from Carver owners. From what I can tell, there really isn't much "Trojan" on those models other than the name.

For specific Carver questions, parts, etc., a Carver specific forum might be better suited. That's probably true for a lot of brands, I would want to go to the "source" if at all possible.

Look at the substantial differences between the non International series boats we have here. For specific F series or other Trojan model advise, I can't help much and vice versa.
