There have been a couple of threads recently about gear or spares that is important to carry aboard. Here's one more safety item. It is a good idea to wear a personal flotation device at all times. In case of emergency you might not have time to go find one or put it on.

So do you have to have one of those onboard for each beer when the coast guard boards your vessel & inspects you? Just wondering. With the holiday weekend coming I want to make sure I'm legal.

Water (or equivalent) on the water, Beer on the pier.
