Port Eng Temp, Oil Pressure and Ammeter not working right

Post by dollarbill »

I noticed that my Port oil pressure is running High - idle shows 80psi - under higher RPM it drops to 40. Temp gauge is pegged all the way to the left - does not move and the ammeter is dead also.

I know they were working last season.. Mechanic did replace ignition coil in March but did not mention that gauges were not working.

Could these be related? Mechanic will not be able to show up for another 2 weeks so I will have to fish this one out myself.

Thanks

Could a bad ground on the oil and temp gages , amp gage would be a different issue
