1973 Tri Cabin Interior

Post by Bob Giaier »

I know I'm probably putting myself out there for a little abuse but what the heck. I've posted several requests for help restoring our 73 tri cabin over the last few years and have gotten allot of help from the forum experts. If you go to the link you can see the outcome. It's a 70's retro look. Anyone remember the 70's?

Looks really good. That photo marked "Trip to Caseville" is that Caseville, MI? I used to live in Pt. Austin and boated all over that area.

It is, they have some really good festivals there now. We were there for "Rib Fest". good ribs and rock/country bands all week end. But please look at the link again. I fat fingered the wrong album and just edited the link for the correct one.

I thought I had seen some of those before. That turned out really nice. A lot of work but well worth the effort. Looks brand new.

We used to go to Cheeseburger in Caseville every year. Great festival.

We also went to East Tawas a couple of times each year & travelled to the North Channel each summer. Miss it terribly. Never got to Au Gres but heard it was nice.

Thanks guys, We're having a great time now running around Saginaw Bay. I'm really pleased with how well (smooth) she rides too. We still have lots to do, but fortunately it's all tinkering and minor stuff now.

K9th - I've never been to the Cheese burger fest, but I hear it's a huge party now. I'm hoping to get to that festival next year.

I love the look! Did you redo the upper deck in the bridge. When doing this did you add any extra support (cross members) underneth?

Looks SUPER.

We didn't have to do a lot to the upper deck. No extra supports added. It was mostly cleaning and sanding and then Sikens of course. The bimini and side curtains keep everything dry and looking good. With rebuilt windows and aft walls, she is amazingly dry inside thru out.

Anyways, thanks again for all the great comments.
