Looks like South Carolina may be safe (545 miles away now, but turning North)... but you boys in the North Carolina Outer Banks, Virginia, Mayland, NJ and NY may need to batten down the hatches!

yep, looks like I'm right in the bullseye in New Haven harbor. I have a lot of sweat equity in my boat, I'm an insurance company's best friend right now.

I'm either going to move it or haul it... guess I'll figure that out tomorrow/Sat.

I'm out of town until Thursday night so Friday is gonna be a busy day for me. Might get her hauled out for this one. I'm really concerned about the storm surge. I invision the floating docks floating off the piles, then the whole marina goes for a boat ride all at once.

1) raise insurance to 100k

2) new 1/4" dock lines

3) make offer on viking

4) only kidding , I have doubled the lines (5/8) and hopping for the best

I did not felt the earth quake we had ,I hope I can say the same about this

Wow guys! Your navy is pulling their fleet out of the way of Irene. Thats probably a good indication that you are not in for a pleasurable stress free weekend. Good luck to all of you on the east coast.

Good luck to those north of here.

stayed in the water..marina charging almost double to haul with no wash. So the way I see it 1 of 3 things can happen.
1, she rides it out fine.
2, canvas gets ripped off, and for $1000.00 I get new . save $ save around 8K
3, she sinks, and I get that Carver 4207 or a Trojan PHMY

Better check you deductible on Canvas and A "Named storm " most raise it to $2500.00 . they do that because people us a storm to get new canvas .
