Looks like South Carolina may be safe (545 miles away now, but turning North)... but you boys in the North Carolina Outer Banks, Virginia, Mayland, NJ and NY may need to batten down the hatches!
yep, looks like I'm right in the bullseye in New Haven harbor. I have a lot of sweat equity in my boat, I'm an insurance company's best friend right now.
I'm either going to move it or haul it... guess I'll figure that out tomorrow/Sat.
I'm out of town until Thursday night so Friday is gonna be a busy day for me. Might get her hauled out for this one. I'm really concerned about the storm surge. I invision the floating docks floating off the piles, then the whole marina goes for a boat ride all at once.
Wow guys! Your navy is pulling their fleet out of the way of Irene. Thats probably a good indication that you are not in for a pleasurable stress free weekend. Good luck to all of you on the east coast.
