How much does my F25 weigh??

Post by trojandoc »

So it turns out that while on the trailer, the shackle on the back axle has broken and the tire on the front axle is flat.

I now have a boat on a trailer that needs to be jacked up in my driveway.

This makes me a bit nervous, and I thought I would ask an opinion on a ball park of how much the boat weighs, so I don't undersize the jack while trying to change the tire and set up a couple of jackstands and wheel chocks.

Tried to save some money on moorage over winter, and here I am paying for it with sleepless nights.

Thanks for all advice.

had this happen when I had a 21' Manatee cuddy, I hooked the trailer up to my truck placed 3/4 plywood under axle then used a 2 ton jack under it and lifted it . Once in the air used 4x4's to make a cradle to hold it up. Doing it this way on both sides . Made the cradles to hold the trailer not the axle. then did the same on the front of it and unhooked the truck. think of it as puttin' the boat and trailer on hard...then you can over-haul the axle and change the tires at will....

Trojan lists:
1) 1973 F25 @ 5,300LBS,
2) 1977 & 1979 F25 Express Cruiser @ 4,800lbs

Add gear and 50 gallons of fuel (300#) and 20 galLons of water (160#) and it could quickly get up to Torcan's 5,800#
