Science Channel's "How It's Made" TV Series to Feature Cyclone Power Technologies' Modern Steam Engine

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Jan 04, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Cyclone Power Technologies Inc. (otcqb:CYPW), developer of the all-fuel, clean-tech Cyclone Engine, announced that The Science Channel's "How It's Made" TV series will feature the company's engine technology in an episode airing at 9:00pm EST on Thursday, January 5. In addition to demonstrating the making and internal workings of Cyclone's engine, the show will highlight how the company is re-inventing steam engine technology to provide renewable power solutions for the distributed electrical generation and transportation industries.

Harry Schoell, Cyclone's CEO, commented: "We're thrilled to be featured on Discovery Networks' popular TV series. Their interest in our technology lends additional validation to the game changing engineering achievements we've accomplished with the Cyclone Engine, and should give viewers an interesting glimpse inside the invention process at Cyclone."

The episode will spotlight Cyclone's WHE-25 model, a compact engine designed to run off the wasted heat of furnaces, turbines and large diesel engines. In partnership with Phoenix Power Group and Topline Energy (a division of global manufacturing leader TopLine Automotive Engineering), the WHE-25 is scheduled for commercial production later this year.

About Cyclone Power Technologies

Cyclone Power Technologies is the developer of the award-winning Cyclone Engine -- an all-fuel, clean-tech engine with the power and versatility to run everything from waste energy electric generators and solar thermal systems to cars, trucks and locomotives. Invented by company founder and CEO Harry Schoell, the patented Cyclone Engine is an eco-friendly external combustion engine, ingeniously designed to achieve high thermal efficiencies through a compact heat-regenerative process, and to run on virtually any fuel - including bio-diesels, syngas or solar - while emitting fewer greenhouse gases and irritating pollutants into the air. The Cyclone Engine was recognized by Popular Science Magazine as the Invention of the Year for 2008, and was presented with the Society of Automotive Engineers' AEI Tech Award in 2006 and 2008. Additionally, Cyclone was named Environmental Business of the Year by the Broward County Environmental Protection Department. For more information, visit http://www.cyclonepower.com .

Harry Schoell Building World Record Steam Powered Boat

Post by rossjo »

Harry is working on breaking the world speed record for a steam powered boat!

To prove the potential of this new steam engine, Cyclone Power has installed one of the first units into a 7m boat, which the company plans to use to break the world speed record for steam power on the water. This currently stands at 45 mile/h and was set way back in the early 1900s. A speed of around 60mile/h is expected.
