believe it or not, my nick name on the site for the tri cabin is the ''ss piersitter''. when phil and i were bringing her from the brokers marina to our home port, i ran over a crab pot that was in the middle of the channel and unmarked. WHAM----SHUDDER----AWFUL NOISES FROM UNDERNEATH THE PORT SIDE AFT. ended up 'tuliping' 2 of 3 blades on the port prop. lack of sheckels and time last year resulted in no repair, but, hopefully, this spring will be a different story. comfort level onboard is great, both phil and maccabee like the wider decks and the stable ride. now, i'm looking calm underway because i grew up with the tri cabin. docking is whole other ball of wax. i'm an absolute basket case when it comes to the tight quarters, however, mike kulp (trojan international neighbor) and his wife kathy are great at calming my nerves and this past fall took me out one warm afternoon to do some practice runs. THANKS MIKE!!!!
as for your dogs----BOSTONS RULE!!! i love all breeds of dogs, but bostons hold a very special place for me. something about those expressive ears and faces. our marina is the absolute most dog friendly of any i've been to. lots of open green space for them to run if they want, 126 boats, and 125 dog owners. and listening to the 2 chesapeake bay retrievers that live across the channel from my slip larking about in the water at all hours and temps, makes it a very good place to be.
and i love the parrot too!!! now that is just way too cool.
tri cabin aaron......

Aaron there will be more practice in the spring, you need to pull that boat and fix that wheel so we can burn some fuel.

hi mike, thanks for the help. i will be calling on you and your first mate i think as phil's business (contractor/renovation/hvac/electrical) is really keeping him busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.
tony, the original specs call for 20x21 with a 1.75" shaft. i believe that my wheels are 20x21. to be honest, i'm drawing a blank on that one. and that's not me. totally frustrated on that one.

1.75 shaft ?? no way , maybe 1 3/8 ? or 1 1/4 . The largest shaft size for most 20" props is 1 1/2 .

Recheck on that Aaron should be in your survey

Now that sounds more like it , you can always use a 1 3/8 or 1 1/2 with a bushing .

hey tony, had a senior moment there for a minute.... the shaft size is 1 1/4, i believe, i will recheck again w/ my mechanic tomorrow. i can't believe i don't have this info off the top of my head. very bad sign. i'm also unshure as to the rotation. the port prop is the one that's fraked up.
