yacht club question

Well we've had our yearly meeting "yes in the middle of winter" I served on the board as Rear Commodore and then last year as vice this winter we tallied the votes and I assume the position of 2012 Commodore and am trying to figure out how do you get your wife to address you as Commodore and not just by my first name? she refuses to acknowledge my authority any ideas?

As long as you call her Admiral I'm guessing she may call you Commodore.

Your kidding right ? when I was on the club board and every year when I moved up . I got this . "What are you stupid ? " she was right

prowler your right, when I was first asked to come on the board I was like the family dog that got that look when you asked him to hop in the truck. as I learned you just get to hear all the whines,displeased members and general complaints but I had a few guys that I asked to come on board and now cant resign until its run its course otherwise I'll catch hell from the ones I dragged onto the board. one more year then I become sheep like everyone else and get to enjoy the river alot more

In our YC folks are asked to serve by a nominating commitee then voted on at general board meetings. Once your a rear then you move up the ranks. I was nominated last Oct. for rear and excepted thinking it would be Nov 2013 before I was Commodore. Well the Vice Commodore had to leave the area due to health so I'm Rear and Vice this year and will be Commodore Nov. this year.
My wife will have no trouble calling me Commodore since she is used to calling me a "Comode-ian" (slang for someone who tells crude jokes)
