Fire breaks out on Toronto Island yacht club

Post by Torcan »

Emergency crews rushed to Toronto Island Tuesday afternoon to battle a fire that broke out inside a storage shed at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club.

Fire trucks were being transported to the scene by ferry because there was no vehicular access to the location of the fire.

Police and the marine unit also responded to the scene.

Thick white smoke could be seen billowing from the site from the Toronto shoreline. Emergency crews were alerted to the blaze shortly before 1:30 p.m. The fire was quickly put under control.

No idea yet if there were any boats involved, will have to wait and see.
