Cabin Sink Drain Hose - F30 Express
The PO did a very good job of keeping up all repairs in pretty good fashion... but I found one not up to par.
My cabin/galley sink started leaking water in to the drawers below. Looks like there was a leak before and it was fixed with a combination of duct tape and a big trash bag. Oh well it worked for 3 years...
Just eyeballing this at 10pm last night - looks like the clamp on the hose has worn through what may have been a bigger hose than the fitting.
Question: How do I get access to this hose. It looks like it goes behind a cabinet under the sink. I would hate to be have to take the fridge out to get access to this hose... if so I may opt for more duct tape and a bigger trash bag as well.
Any idea on what my access options maybe so I can formulate a game plan?
Thanks in advance.

I would pull the fridge and do it right. I need to pull the fridge on the F32 and it's a tight fit to get to the sink drain area. I also have a Insinkerator disposal on mine...don't look forward to when I have to replace that. It still works well.

IMO pull fridge, in addition to making the fix easier it gives you an opportunity to inspect in and under the whole galley areas for any lurking problems.
Never thought of using a garbage disposer in sink. I assume it discharges overboard as gray water. Not to question your installation but is that okay by the rules, if soe I might do the same thing?

Larry, yes, it discharges overboard. I rarely use it...it's not like I stick corn cobs down there...larryeddington wrote:IMO pull fridge, in addition to making the fix easier it gives you an opportunity to inspect in and under the whole galley areas for any lurking problems.

It was already installed when we got the boat. There's no regulations against it.
