F 36 sold

Post by Peter »

It's official as of this morning.... sniff  ...Slip's empty and boat is on it's way to new home.I'm going to miss her...have had lots of fun, kids have grown up on her, lots of good times and memories but time to move on.The hunt for a single engine trawler in the 38-40 ft range now begins in earnest.Several on the radar but have made no moves untill transaction is complete ...I'll likely lurk on this site from time to time and mabe even ask some advice as it's always been a great resource.

Good luck and have a great Memorial Day :D
Please insert acceptable political or boating statement here...or not... I really don't give a crap....

One option you may not have seen..
http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1990/Du ... ton/Canada

Not really a '90 I don't think (shows older, or if really is a '90, it is showing everything it has been through on journeys south). 42 footer, single diesel, big stabilizer poles out each side. Been for sale for a couple of years now. Owners may be more inclined to take 50-60 for it by now; maybe less.

Travel from boat's location to Lake Erie isn't that far... about 40 miles on Lake Ontario to the Welland Canal, then 26 miles through the canal to Erie. Then to wherever you have to go from there.

Or for a more refined brute, http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1977/Ka ... ara/Canada . Freeboard at the bow is about 8 feet! Pricey, but it will probably sip fuel.
