Don't blame her. The canvas can be a pain unzipping to get in and out of everytime you want to get through while still trying to keep weather and critters out. The framed look is nice but more labour intensive. A lot of guys simply buy a sheet of clear 1/2 or 3/4 inch clear plexi for a one piece door. The real hard part is fitting/contouring the pieces that stay fixed/fastened to the boat to lock and hang hinges on.

The Viking aft cabin behind me has doors like that , I think is a good idea .

Looks like a great idea. Not sure about white doors though. Black would be awesome!

Carver 4207 just down the dock from me has them..... photos to follow.
His design is plastic door and side framing forward. The outer aft edge is wood framed with the aft canvas clipped to it. You vessel being smaller may not need the forward glassed in area.

As promised Photos

Starboard is also used a lot for this app if you're looking for no maintenance material.

Good looking setup and very practical if you're on the boat a lot. Go for it.

Here's another example of a 4207 with the doors. Just sold, so better grab any pictures you might want to reference later as it will likely disappear from the site before long.
