Winterizing 1974 Trojan F36
Looking for right amount of antifreeze to buy. This is my first time winterizing by myself. I have:
A. Twin Chrysler M400 with raw water intake
B. kitchen and head sinks
C. Shower, never used this season
D. Head with vacu-flush and holding tank
E. AC unit Marine Air reverse cycle type with
F. Generator Onan with raw water intake
Also...any recommendations on doing it in water vs on dry dock.
Links or instructions would help...thanks!

I always have my marina deal with the engines, genny, and A/C (if something cracks open, it makes it REALLY easy to figure out who pays for repair/replacement!).
I stopped using plumbing antifreeze in my fresh water systems a few years ago as I found it was really hard to get rid of the taste/smell, and the water was fizzy forever afterwards...
I still use it for the head and holding tank (before final pump out), but I just drain the fresh water tank and water heater, and blow out all the hot and cold lines for galley, head sink, head itself, and shower.
I rejigged the plumbing at the hot water tank a bit to make draining easier and let me do this more easily, but basically once things are drained I hook a small compressor up to the hose for the shower head and just open and close hot and cold taps one by one to blow different sections of the system out.

I did that one year and apparently didn't get all the water out cause in the spring the T fitting for the shower/sink was cracked and leaking so now I put the antifreeze thru the system. Just my preferance though.
Growing old is inevitable, but growing up is optional

Sorry to even mention this winter stuff....but I budget way ahead.....and have not done one like this.
Thanks for the advice on the fellow F36. Marina charges a fortune for this, and it appears easy to do.
