This is one of the 11 1981-1985 tricabs that I looked at before I bought Old Flame, which I entertained solely as a project because so many of the other boats that I looked at were in need of so much work that I was giving serious consideration to hauling this 40 miles overland to my house and parking it in the backyard for a couple of years. If you don't want to do that, the words "parts boat" and "yard art" come to mind. The A/C might be new, but the most memorable thing I remember was seeing into to the port crankcase through the top of one of the pistons -- OUCH!

The back story from the broker who showed it to me at Mears Point Marina was that the boat was abandoned. They did the footwork necessary to claim it as an abandoned vessel, and were selling it for $9K. They were offering to tow the boat to its new location if it was nearby. The ad says that it is in Piney Narrows, which is about 1500 feet from where the boat was when I looked at it.

Notice the potted plants on the aft deck and swim platform? That's a fine location for them because there is not much danger of them falling off. The boat is good for an apartment, which is how it looks like it is being used.
I needed a less expensive hobby, so I bought a boat!

The plants on the swim platform that was funny!!

Like we need something else to remove when we leave the dock??

Knowing myself, they'd be at the bottom of the lake!!
